On the occasion of National Celiac Disease Week, in the evocative setting of the estate
Bourbon, the Villa Fiorita di Capua retirement home intended to promote a study day with specialists, researchers and experts, and an in-depth study on the Mediterranean diet and the relationship between it and the environment in relation to celiac disease, with the patronage of the Order of Doctors of Caserta.
The work program will be drawn up in three sessions, preceded by welcome greetings from Raffaella Sibillochairman of the board of directors of Villa Fiorita di Capua, of Daniela Percesepemedical director of the Capuan retirement home, and Maria Erminia Bottiglieripresident of the Order of Physicians of Caserta, followed by the presentation of the course by Anna Rauso, head of the celiac disease and malabsorption clinic of the Villa Fiorita Clinic, who supervised the scientific secretariat of the congress.
The first session, moderated by Rauso and Bottiglieri, will see the interventions of Alessio Fasano, director of the Celiac Disease Research Center at MASS GENERAL HOSPITAL in Boston, on “Interaction between diet, gut microbiota and intestinal permeability”. ; from Francesco Valitutti, medical director I level pediatrics UOC AOU San Giovanni di Dio and Ruggi d’Aragona of Salerno, on “The appearance of celiac disease in children at risk in a prospective longitudinal cohort study: CD GEMM study ”;
from Basilio Malamisura, head of the Digestive and Eating Disorders Center of the Tortorella Clinic in Salerno, on ”Gluten-free diet as therapy: celiac disease and more”; and, finally, of Silvia AstrettoHead of the Provincial Reference Center for Celiac Disease in Adults, on “The association between systemic exposure to antibiotics during the first year of life and the risk of celiac disease”.
In the second morning of the congress, coordinated by Malamisura and Valitutti, yes
will record the contributions of Maria Erminia Bottiglieri, UOSD responsible for celiac disease and digestive motor diseases, on “the state of the art of celiac disease in Campania in the era of Covid-19”, and of Therese D’amatopresident of the Campania section of the Italian Celiac Association Onlus, on “Activities of the Celiac Association of Campania yesterday, today, tomorrow”.
In the afternoon, space for the third session with a round table with questions to the speakers Anna Soapresearcher at the Celiac Research Center of the MASS GENERAL HOSPITAL in Boston, and Anna Rauso of the Villa Fiorita clinic in Capua.
This will be followed by the presentation and discussion of a few clinical cases, to then fill in the ECM questionnaire before the closure of the debates.
