Last rush to admire the beauty of the artistic know-how “Shapes and Colors”

Last day for “Forms and Colors in the land of Tuscia”, the exhibition-competition organized by the Artistic and Traditional CNA of Viterbo and Civitavecchia which opened in Viterbo, in the spaces of the Cultural Center of Valle Faul, on April 29 .

Until tomorrow, Sunday May 15, it is therefore possible to admire the works exhibited in what is the only appointment, in Upper Lazio, exclusively dedicated to artistic craftsmanship. See you at the fifteenth edition, in 2022 finally back in attendance, which records a great interest both from the public and from the participants in the exciting workshop experiences held by the craftsmen.

On display are the works, almost all created for the event, by 35 craft businesses and students of the Liceo Artistico Statale “Francesco Orioli” in Viterbo.

Craftsmanship is expressed here at the highest level of quality with artifacts that use different materials, also with attention to eco-sustainability. There is the wooden cannon which “shoots” notes instead of dead ones and, still on a musical theme, clay violins. Ceramic lamps in the shape of an octopus or with elegant lampshades, but also in wood and woven wicker, in glass with typical decorations of the region, in refractory ceramic.

Furniture with a decorative finish referring to dermatological diseases. And then carved cherry wood panels, a table with an enameled peperino goose game, custom-made clothes, wrought iron balustrades, the top of a table with the rosettes of the cloister of the convent of Santa Maria in Gradi (in the city of Viterbo) decorated in the precious Zaffera blue, but also collars – sculptures or in lampworked glass or in paper and cardboard, a leather riding saddle which is a perfect example of restoration, an elegant leotard for majorette, the most faithful reproduction in bronze of a stele found in the capital

In the foreground also the art of photography, those of bookbinding and glass, sculpture and mosaic. And ceramics in all its glory, including pieces that are inspired by archaeological finds found in Tuscia.

The event is organized by the CNA thanks to the collaboration of the Carivit Foundation, with that of the Lazio Region, the Rieti-Viterbo Chamber of Commerce and Unioncamere Lazio, and with the patronage of the Municipality and the Province of Viterbo,

Today and tomorrow “Forme e Colori” is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Free entry.
