ALEXANDRIA – The Alexandrian film critics Roberto Lasagna and Benedetta Pallavidino of the Adelio Ferrero Film and Critics Festival will be the exceptional guides of the Palazzo Cuttica exhibition “A Fashionable Decor” for six in-depth appointments with the public, entitled “A decor at fashion TALK”, scheduled until June 26.
The exhibition route, including the clothes of Oscar-winning costume designers Piero Tosi, Danilo Donati, and the photographs of Angelo Frontoni, the “photographer of the divas”, will be enriched, thanks to the presence of Alexandrian critics, by a series of themes related to cinema, fashion, photography, but also curiosities and anecdotes about various protagonists of the great Italian cinema, which will make these visits a truly unique experience.
The first meeting is Sunday May 22 at 5:30 p.m. with Clothes and Secrets: from “Kapo'” by Gillo Pontecorvo to “Les Nuits Blanches” by Luchino Visconti.
Along with Lasagne and Pallavidino, the itinerary will also be enriched by the advice of Micaela Picasso from the Alexandria Fashion Academy. At the end, Benedetta Pallavidino’s book will be presented ” The vortex of life. The Cinema of Valeria Bruni Tedeschi” (Edizioni Bietti) which tells, also through unpublished interviews, the cinematographic work of Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, including the new film, almond treesis present at the Cannes Film Festival competition on the evening of May 22.
The six in-depth events have been organized by the City of Alessandria and by the Azienda CulturAle Costruire with the collaboration of the Circolo del Cinema Adelio Ferrero d’Alessandria, and are included in the calendar of initiatives accompanying the exhibition “A trendy set. A century of Italian cinema between photographs and costumes”Curated by Domenico De Gaetano director of the National Museum of Cinema in Turin.
The exhibition, which will remain open until June 30, is an event strongly desired by the city of Alessandria and organized by the company CulturAle Costruire Insieme, promoted by the Piedmont Region, with the scientific coordination of the National Cinema Museum of Turin and the Rome Cinematheque, with the participation of the Torino Piemonte Film Commission and the Artea Foundation, with the collaboration of the Filatoio Rosso di Caraglio Foundation.
